What We Teach —
and How We Teach
It Differently
This isn't a list of subjects you could find anywhere. Each subject area we cover comes with the same commitment: if the standard way of teaching it isn't working for your student, we find a different way in.
Every subject,
taught your way.
Subject Areas
Client Action Required
This section requires a subject list before going live. Subjects below are representative placeholders.
Mathematics
Grades 3–12 · Pre-Algebra through CalculusNumbers aren't the problem — the way they're explained usually is. We identify where the logic chain breaks for each student and rebuild from there, whether that's visualizing fractions or untangling calculus derivatives.
Best for: Struggling students, advanced enrichment, test prep
Reading & Writing
Grades K–12 · Phonics through College EssaysReading isn't just decoding words — it's building a relationship with text. We tailor our approach to whether a student needs foundational phonics, comprehension strategies, or the confidence to write an argument that actually holds together.
Best for: Early readers, struggling writers, essay prep
Science
Grades 5–12 · Biology, Chemistry, PhysicsScience is a process, not a set of facts to memorize. We focus on the reasoning behind experiments, the logic behind formulas, and the story behind discoveries — because when a student understands the "why," the "what" follows naturally.
Best for: Grade-level catch-up, AP coursework, exam prep
SAT / ACT Prep
High school students preparing for college admissionWe don't just drill practice tests. We identify the specific question types that trip up each student — the reading passages they lose time on, the math traps that always catch them — and target those systematically.
Best for: Students preparing for college, score improvement
History & Social Studies
Grades 5–12 · US History, World History, GovernmentHistory is a story. When we teach it that way — connecting events to human decisions, cause and effect — students stop memorizing dates and start understanding patterns. That understanding follows them into essay exams and beyond.
Best for: Students struggling with retention, AP History, essay writing
College Essay & Writing
High school juniors & seniorsA college essay isn't an assignment — it's an argument for why you belong. We help students find the story only they can tell, shape it with structure, and edit it until it sounds like them on their best day.
Best for: College applicants, transfer students, scholarship applications
"The method shifts.
The result doesn't."
Same subject.
Three ways to
explain it.
Before our tutors explain anything, they observe. How does this student respond to diagrams? Do they ask questions or go quiet when confused? Do they prefer working through examples or understanding the theory first?
From that, we identify a primary learning approach — visual, analytical, conversational, hands-on, or something else entirely — and we build every session around it. If the first approach doesn't land, the tutor shifts. Not the student.
Not sure which program fits?
Sometimes parents aren't sure if a student needs foundational help, grade-level catch-up, or advanced enrichment. Our first session is designed to answer exactly that.
For struggling students
Your child isn't struggling because they're not smart. They're struggling because nobody's explained it the right way yet. We find that way — starting with where the gap actually is, not where the grade says it should be.
Get started →For advanced students
Already ahead of the class but want to go further? We offer enrichment sessions that push beyond grade level — deeper into subject matter, earlier into future coursework, or into the kind of thinking that standardized tests don't always measure.
Get started →For adult learners
Going back to school, changing careers, or finally tackling something you've put off — adult learning is different, and we get that. No condescension. No "let's start from the beginning." We start where you are and move at your pace.
Not sure where
to start?
Start with a conversation. We'll figure out what kind of learner you are, which subject needs the most attention, and who the right tutor is — in one free session.
No commitment required. This is just a conversation.
